I’m a big girl now.
I had my first real job interview this morning. “Real” as in, interviewing for a professional position where there was a panel of highly qualified people sitting in front of me asking me questions. (yikes.)
Before I went in the building for the interview I sat in my car and prayed that this experience would be one that would benefit my future endeavors as a teacher. I started thinking about the reason I want to teach special education and even though I don’t anticipate getting the first job I interview for, I think this interview gave me a taste of what is to come over the next year.
Now, after the interview, I am thankful for the opportunity I was given. I’m looking forward to the day that I do have my own classroom and I’m excited about the Lord working through me to influence the lives of children with disabilities.
Happy Monday!
