Student teaching… you knew this was coming
I started student teaching yesterday.
9/7/10
5:45am wake up. Apparently the Sun isn’t quite up yet- who knew?! 6:45 sit in traffic on the 91 freeway with everyone else from the inland empire who has a real job. 7:15 arrive at Orange Elementary School. 7:45 meet the students- love them already. (4th, 5th, and 6th grade moderate/severe special ed. Yes!! They’re awesome.) 8:00 the daily chaos begins- teach, observe, discipline and learn… don’t stop moving until lunch… 12:00 ahhhh… continue with the daily schedule. 2:00 take kids to the bus. 2:20 staff meeting #1. Principal introduces me and has me stand up (yikes). Proceeds to ask me to “say a few words” about myself. Hate that. Face turns red. Meeting dismissed early. 2:50pm first day complete!
I love being a teacher.
